Sunderland Software City began in 2008 with the aim of growing the software sector in the North East of England. Now in 2017, we have over 2,500 software companies across the region employing in excess of 30,000 people.
As a result of our success we now also host one of only 3 local Digital Catapult Centres across the UK which are focused on ensuring digital innovation underpins the growth of companies across every sector. To continue to deliver an exceptional level of support we are looking to add a new Programme Engagement Manager to our team. This role is a new role to support the delivery of the Digital Catapult programme in the region, you will be responsible for working directly with clients, bringing in new opportunities, delivering events and managing sub-contracts in relation to key sectors such as Manufacturing, Creative and Emerging Technologies.
This role will run through until March 2021 (with possible extension). The Sunderland Software City (phase 3) project and the above roles are part financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme that is managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government.
