Added July 13, 2012

Could your business benefit from a graduate intern?
The Graduate Internship Scheme is a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, recent graduates and regional SMEs, designed to ensure graduates take their first steps on the career ladder while companies benefits from their enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.
The scheme sees the University of Sunderland part funding a graduate’s salary for a 6 month period.
The Scheme runs for the next 2 years and the University has funding to place 150 Graduates into 150 organisations throughout the region.
• There will be one Intern per organisation funded
• The organisation must be an SME and operate in the private sector
• The Graduate salary paid by the organisation must be a minimum of £14,859 per annum pro rata to be eligible to receive the funding. If the organisation commit to this minimum salary, the University in turn will commit to paying a monthly grant back to the organisation of £685 per calendar month towards the Graduate’s salary.
• An Internship can cover any degree area / subject area as long as the role is maintained at a Graduate level.
