NETWORK PROGRAMMER

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working on game-side network architecture and
have at least one published console or PC game.

RESPONSIBILITIES
ï?· Architect and create solutions of efficient networking of complex game environments
ï?· Work with other programmers to interface with all project subsystems, including vehicle,
character control and AI
ï?· Develop and maintain software to aid testing of networked games
ï?· Maintain and extend the development of current game networking systems
ï?· Define programming policies and guidelines to aid other programmers in creating
networking-compatible software

KEY SKILLS
ï?· Experience of game-side network code such as addressing latency/lag, client-side
prediction/correction issues
ï?· Experience of UDP/TCP IP protocols
ï?· A high standard of C/C++ programming
ï?· Excellent debugging and problem solving skills

PREFERRED SKILLS
ï?· Broad understanding of networking systems, including DNS, NAT, firewalls, security methods
ï?· Experience with online game service APIs
ï?· Experience building robust, scalable backend systems
ï?· Python
