Software specialists Orcuma Ltd have recently appointed marketing graduate Andrea Mason to the role of sales and marketing co-ordinator as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
The company, which is headquartered in the Sunderland Software Centre, has welcomed Andrea into its team to increase business growth into expanding UK and International markets. Andrea will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the company’s marketing strategy and increasing the company’s client base.
Andrea said: “I am extremely pleased to have secured the position at Orcuma, I am really motivated by the challenge of winning new work and helping Orcuma grow”.
Orcuma specialise in implementing and supporting their FIRsT (Flexible Information Reporting Tool) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software as well as developing, hosting and supporting bespoke software development to help businesses improve their operational processes.
Clients to date include County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue service; FIRsT allows the Service to monitor fire investigations and assist with identifying trends in areas or periods where fires have occurred and or more likely to occur. Other clients include G4S Utilities and Durham County Council.
The company are looking to break into new internet based social media markets by launching a new software product and are looking to expand on the success of FIRsT by launching the software into international markets. These prospects means the role for Andrea will be an exciting yet challenging one.
Andrea was employed by Orcuma with the help of the University of Sunderland internship scheme. The internship scheme allows businesses to tap into the North East’s graduate talent pool and allows companies to benefit from the graduates enthusiasm and ideas; whilst graduates gain invaluable work experience and demonstrate what they have learnt at university into practice.
Andrea says: “As a graduate from Sunderland I think the internship scheme is a brilliant way to get into employment, the role at Orcuma will allow myself to exhibit all the skills I learnt at university.”
The Scheme offers small to medium sized business a financial contribution to employ a recent graduate. The role will allow Orcuma to expand into new markets and gain new clients and allow Andrea to really dive into an exciting role.
