Front End Developer

Dontyne is a small company with a big future. A unique innovative software platform which has been developed in house has caught the eye of some big world leading PLC brands within the automotive industry and Dontyne are looking to employ a keen, ambitious and talented developer to help modernise and rationalise their current software solutions which would in turn contribute to their future expansion plans.

This role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to work with some level of autonomy and flexibility within the company and to contribute innovative ideas such as the possibility of how their software product could be rolled out in web-form online and potentially via mobile app. However, the main requirement of the successful candidate will be breathe new life into the interface of their current system.

The successful candidate will also be expected to present their work to management and customers for review and assist with promotional documentation and contribute in exhibitions across the globe, therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to travel internationally on some occasions with the company.

 

Essential Criteria: Essential

• Degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience

• Microsoft Visual Studio (C++) or equivalent recognised environment

• Experience of a ‘C’ Programming Language

• Object Orientated

• Experience building progressive web applications

• A keen eye for detail

• High IT literacy

• Good communication skills

• Ability to adhere to internal standardisation and processes

Desirable

Programming Skills

• Using and calling dynamic link libraries (dlls)

• OpenGL Graphics Programming

• Web & Mobile app design experience

• Embarcadero RAD Studio (C Builder)

Desirable Mathematical Skills

•Basic 3D Trigonometry

• Matrices (Linear Algebra for Numerical Solving Equations)

• Vector Calculus Application experience

• 1-5 year work experience or final year project/ industrial placement

Other areas of experience that may be beneficial to the role but not essential include

• Interest in mechanical engineering

• Ready to travel internationally

• Presentation skills

• International language skills especially German, Japanese

• Finite Element Programming

• Developing CAD exports like IGES and DXF

• Implementing numerical Recipes

• Driving licence/own transport

• Genetic Programming

• Fortran programming language

• Pascal programming language

• Installation programs (e.g. Installshield)
