Company benefits

Perks of working at Sunderland Software City.

We understand how vital it is for our people to work in a safe and valued environment. We do our utmost to deliver perks and benefits to our team, allowing them to feel at their best. Perks include:

Flexible working

Flexible working is at the heart of what we do. Alongside having offices in Sunderland and Gateshead, we encourage working from home and have various partnerships in place with local co-working spaces across the North East to enable comfortable working choices. We’re also flexible with timings so you can work at your best!

Hardware

You’ll need the right tech to do your job - and what kind of tech organisation would we be if we didn’t think tech was a priority?! Before you start, you'll be able to choose your laptop and phone (within budget) to what suits you best.

Work-life Balance

Work-life balance is a priority for us. We offer a generous holiday allowance of 25 days per year, excluding bank holidays. Plus, our Wind-down Wednesday initiative gives you an extra afternoon on the first Wednesday of each month to do whatever you choose to unwind.

Health and Wellbeing

To help you look after your health, our Bupa health scheme gives you money off treatments including optical and dental. We also offer enhanced sick pay and a company pension.

Entrepeneurship

We foster an entrepreneurial culture at Sunderland Software City; innovation is in our DNA. We empower our people to share ideas but also to embrace failure. Failing isn’t a bad thing, as long as you learn from it!

CPD

We are committed to helping equip our people with the knowledge they need to thrive at Sunderland Software City. Our CPD is bespoke to you, with recent opportunities including ED&I, leadership and specialised software training.

International Trips

You will have the opportunity to attend tech and digital conferences, allowing you to learn new skills and build relationships with your colleagues. Recent destinations were Web Summit in Lisbon and CES in Las Vegas.
