Sunderland Digital Careers programme
Bringing the world of work to life in Sunderland
We bring the world of work to life by providing opportunities for young people to understand both digital career pathways and the skills required to build successful working lives.
The Sunderland Digital Careers programme will challenge pre-conceived ideas, raise aspirations and encourage pupils to think beyond current experience through meaningful encounters with employers. It will also raise industry awareness and encourage pupils to consider a broader and more ambitious range of future education and career options.
The programme provides a range of employer engagement opportunities for young people including workplace site visits, industry workshops, career expos, guest talks, competitions, and more.
We know that with just a small amount of industry engagement, students feel more confident, informed and inspired about their future.
This programme is funded by Sunderland City Council, and supported by the following partners: Sunderland College, Sunderland University, Together for Children & Sunderland Software City.
Sunderland Digital Careers produces a range of educational resources to inspire young people into digital-related careers. These resources include fact sheets and monthly newsletters. You can check out our educational resources on our Educational Resources Page.
