Who is Stand-up Marketing?

Stand-up Marketing in North Tyneside provides strategic online marketing to mainly public and private sector startups. John McRae, the director at Stand-up Marketing, has helped over 3000 of these businesses.

The Challenge

John's clients face a variety of marketing challenges and don't know how to create and action marketing plans. Clients with plans are usually paper-based and find it difficult to implement them. An application was needed to automate and provide a framework for John's decades of experience that clients would find easy to adopt and implement.

The Support

John contacted the Digital Pathfinders team to develop an online application called Track.biz that clients could use to self-service their marketing needs. John has been building Track.biz with no-code tools in order to scale his marketing mentor service from one to many.

After an initial discovery workshop with the team, John gained a deeper understanding of what his application needed to do. An industry report was produced, which provided a comparative benchmarked view of the marketplace in terms of costs, ease of functionality, and setup. Next, a user experience report was conducted on the existing application, demonstrating to John how the platform needed to work through the eyes of the target audience.

These tests and reports enabled John to communicate to his development team the right direction for further development of his application, meeting the needs and requirements of his clients more accurately.
