Go Reboot Plus
Our fully funded digital training programme for Newcastle & Wallsend residents
Go Reboot Plus is a free-to-access, innovative digital training programme for residents in Newcastle and Wallsend.
The programme helps individuals develop digital skills, learn about pathways into digital careers, and connect with local employers and training providers.
The programme not only supports individuals to improve employment chances, but is also designed to build confidence, provide routine and support peer networking.
What does the programme involve?
In partnership with Newcastle College, the Go Reboot Plus training programme takes place over a period of 4-weeks, with different cohorts happening throughout the year. A minimum attendance of 2 days per week is required.
Programme participants can choose their sessions based on their skills levels and goals. Session options include:
- Introductory courses with Newcastle College in a digital area of your choice. Examples include an introduction to coding, web development, or networking.
- Employability workshops and CV building sessions.
- Employer talks, featuring organisations such as Accenture and the National Careers Service.
- Speed-dating sessions with local employers.
Who is it for?
Go Reboot Plus is suitable for unemployed adults living in Newcastle and Wallsend, who have an interest in developing their digital skills.
The training programme caters for individuals from a variety of levels, but common across all levels is a current lack of advanced digital skills such as coding, web development, or networking.
The programme can benefit both individuals who have found themselves in long-term unemployment and who are looking for more support with transitioning into a routine and developing their confidence – to individuals who have recently been made redundant and who are looking for a digital skills boost.
Go Reboot Plus is part of the North of Tyne Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) programme. This means that Go Reboot is limited to residents in the CLLD area, which involves certain wards in Newcastle upon Tyne and North Tyneside. Please visit the CLLD website for more information about which areas are eligible.
The first cohort starts on 1st November, with more following throughout the year.
