Whilst searching for a job that would work around her commitments as a single parent, Dannii Gribbin never thought that she would find it in her love of art.

When her painting videos started attracting order requests on TikTok, Dannii couldn’t believe it! She knew that her hobby had the potential to grow into a business, but she had no idea where to go from here. That’s when she came across Digital Business Pipeline, a Sunderland Software City programme. Through their support Get Set Paint was born.

The Support

Through a personalised support programme, Dannii has learned how to create a website, utilise AI and engage with social media algorithms. As her business continues to grow, so too does her confidence and self-belief.

Speaking on her experience, Dannii said: “My journey with Digital Business Pipeline has exceeded all of my expectations. When I first signed up, I was really nervous - I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about setting up a business, and this felt like a real barrier to getting started.

“My mentor Stephen has been incredible. He is patient and encouraging, taking the time to explain things to me, and going over anything that I don’t understand. “The Digital Business Pipeline has given me the tools to grow, and made me feel supported at every step of the way.
“I would encourage anyone with a business idea to go for it. You really don’t know what amazing opportunities are out there until you do…”
“My journey with Digital Business Pipeline has been life-changing. Through a personalised programme of support, I’ve been given the tools to expand my knowledge and grow my business into something I’m incredibly proud of.
“I never dreamed that my hobby could become my full-time job, but with the help of the Digital Business Pipeline, this dream is becoming a reality. For the first time, I feel like I’m doing what I was made to do.” - Dannii Gribbin, owner of Get Set Paint.
