We support the competitiveness and growth of tech startups and large organisations through sustainable digital innovation.
Our innovation services support both tech startups and large organisations with the adoption and growth of advanced digital technologies.
Our innovation services are delivered by our Digital Catapult North East Tees Valley (NETV) team, as part of the national Digital Catapult network. Alongside delivery of innovation activities, our NETV team is responsible for managing the Immersive Lab housed at PROTO, Europe’s first Centre for Emerging Technology.
As part of NETV, we work hard to create commercial opportunities for start ups, scale ups and SMEs by educating traditionally ‘non-digital’ businesses about the potential application of advanced digital technologies through a wide range of innovation services. These include dedicated one-to-ones, innovation workshops, hackathons, horizon-scanning services, and fully funded sector-specific innovation residentials. Our residentials are currently delivered within the manufacturing, voluntary and creative sectors (read more about our Digital Manufacturing programme).
Our innovation services all follow our unique tried and tested Business Challenge 2.0 framework, which ensures our innovation challenges are ethically designed to benefit both initiators, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Additionally, our team work closely with local start ups to ensure that they are equipped with the governance, infrastructure and knowledge to provide products and services to larger, international clients.
